New series of Missing Live begins on Monday 15th March

Missing Live

The BBC has commissioned a third series of Missing Live, following the success of last year's series and this will be shown on BBC1 each weekday from Monday 15th March at 9-15am on BBC1. You will also be able to watch any episodes shortly after they have been broadcast using the BBC's iPlayer.

There is also a new series of the BBC drama 'Missing' starring Pauline Quirke which is being shown on BBC1 at 2-15pm each weekday also from 15th March.

Previous series of Missing Live have publicised numerous cases of both missing children and adults working closely with police forces, the NPIA, the charity Missing People and the families of the people who have disappeared. By carefully managing the sensitivities associated with this type of programme making, the production team is proud to have built strong working relationships with everyone involved with each case. Previously cases featured have ranged from immediate high-risk cases to those that may be many years old. Last series viewers were able to help reunite 11 missing people with their families.

This series of Missing Live will also feature reunited missing person cases to help highlight some of the issues that surround disappearances such as those left behind and why some people go missing. These films are intended to illustrate the work of dedicated police officers and the resources used to help find missing people in the efforts to reunite them with their family. By including reunited stories the production team also wishes to give some hope to those families still waiting for news about their missing loved ones and even, in some cases, make some people think twice before leaving their families and homes behind.
